1. Negaigoto (ねがいごと)
2. Negaigoto (Piano Version)
3. 2cm (Live Version)

This is Rie fu’s 4th single and it was released on August 31, 2005. The single reached #49 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and sold 3,554 copies. The title track is Rie fu’s first song to be completely in Japanese.

Negaigoto is a very bittersweet song. Rie fu sings about not being with the one she loves, so she makes a wish. I reached for your hand, a fragment of stars is one of my favorite lines from the song. As for the music, it’s basically piano mixed with light percussion and strings. To me, this is one of her more emotional driven songs, which is a good thing.

The next track is the Piano Version of Negaigoto. This version is also a new recording and to be honest, Rie fu’s vocals don’t sound that good compared to the original version.

The final track on this single is a live version of 2cm, one of my favorite songs from her debut album. She sings pretty good live and the added instruments make the song more upbeat and enjoyabe.

Overall Rating

4 stars
