This is misono’s 4th single and it was released on November 1, 2006. The single reached #14 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and sold 16,957 copies.

Compared to misono’s previous singles, LovelyCat’s Eye is definitely her most rock influenced song. The electric guitar riffs and drums are furious and insanely catchy. misono really packs a lot of power into her voice in the chorus and I believe this song showcases her strongest vocals. I also thought it was cute when I heard the sound of cats meowing, staying true to the song’s title.
On an interesting note, her previous singles also included sounds that had to do with their song titles. VS had a boxing ring bell, Kojin Jugyou had the voices of school children, and Speedrive featured screeching tires.

The B-side is a cover of a well known song from 1996. TOMORROW was originally performed by Mayo Okamoto and misono’s version is quite different because it features light electric guitar and percussion. misono’s version still maintains the main piano arrangement of the original, mixing the old with the new. The ending of the song was surprising because of misono’s vocals and the sudden change of the BGM. It’s an excellent B-side and I actually like it more than the A-side.
